Ironcrest reviews surplus and removed electrical equipment across the Chicago area, including equipment from plants, contractors, facility upgrades and decommissioning projects. Send photos before scrapping so reusable switchgear, breakers, transformers, MCCs and bus systems can be identified.

For an initial review, send clear overall photos plus close-ups of manufacturer labels, part numbers or nameplates when available. Include approximate quantity, city/state, condition and your preferred timing.
Preserve value: Keep identifiable equipment and unused material intact until it has been reviewed. Cutting, mixing or removing labels can make resale evaluation harder.

We separate likely resale value from commodity-only material.
Clarify quantity, condition, location and removal needs.
If the material fits, work through purchase and pickup logistics.
We evaluate circuit breakers, switchgear, transformers, bus duct, motor control centers, panelboards, industrial cable, and related commercial or industrial electrical surplus. Send full-unit photos and clear nameplate photos so the equipment can be identified accurately.
Include manufacturer, model or catalog number, voltage, amperage, phase, quantity, condition, and location when available. For breakers and switchgear, photograph labels, trip units, cabinets, and any visible damage. A simple inventory list speeds up review.
We review both, but access and removal status affect the opportunity. State whether equipment is energized, disconnected, palletized, indoors, or scheduled for demolition. Ironcrest does not provide electrical advice; qualified contractors should handle disconnection and safe removal.
Yes. For larger projects, send an equipment list, site photos, timing, access requirements, and decision-maker contact. Separate high-value nameplate equipment from general scrap so each category can be evaluated on its best potential outlet.
Send photos, nameplate details, quantity, condition, and pickup location. Values depend on exact specifications, condition, resale demand, removal requirements, and current markets, so Ironcrest does not publish blanket or per-pound pricing.

Send the location with your photos. We review opportunities throughout the Chicago area and evaluate pickup or removal logistics based on the material and project.
Yes. Earlier photos and nameplates are useful because equipment can lose resale value once it is dismantled or mixed into scrap.
Include it. Electrical projects often contain several material streams, and reviewing them together can simplify the sale.

We review what the material is, its condition and quantity, and whether it fits a direct purchase.
